World Environment Day Celebrated at Carmelgiri College, Adimali

As part of the observance of World Environment Day on June 5, 2026, the National Service Scheme (NSS), in association with the Nature Club of Carmelgiri College, Adimali, organized a tree-planting programme on the college campus to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.

The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Geo M. Joy, IQAC Coordinator, who planted tree saplings in the college premises. The initiative reflected the institution's commitment to environmental conservation and the development of a greener campus.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Benyamin C. E., NSS Coordinator, delivered a message emphasizing the significance of World Environment Day and the need for collective efforts to protect and preserve nature. He encouraged students to adopt environmentally responsible practices and actively participate in conservation activities.

The programme was attended by faculty members, NSS volunteers, Nature Club members, and students. Through this initiative, the college reaffirmed its dedication to fostering environmental consciousness and inspiring young minds to contribute towards a sustainable future.
